About the Collaborative
Formed in late 2025 and officially launched on January 1, 2026, the Southeastern Quantum Collaborative (SQC) acts as a catalyst for translating quantum theory into operational capabilities — accelerating the transition of quantum technology into field-ready capabilities for national security and beyond.
The SQC unites nearly 30 academic, industry, and government entities. Alabama’s deep defense, aerospace, and research base — anchored by Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal — gives the collaborative a uniquely applied focus.
